All the trees that were cut down at the site; a portable saw mill was brought in
and the trees were cut into timber to be used in the structure of the restaurant.
Then the timber was graded for use in the restaurant.
The siding, a form of cement board was used and was brought in from Japan. The roofing
tiles were also brought in from Japan.
The counter top at the reception desk and the counter top in the Lounge were
cut from a black walnut tree, slab in 4&quo; thick and 20' long pieces, dried and
planed to a 3 1/2" thickness.
The deck outside is approximately 5,000 sq. ft.
The project fromdesign, Columbia River gorge review & approval and building
permit application to completion of the project to 3 years
